Imbabala Safari Lodge is a secluded and unspoilt wilderness experience, situated on the banks of the Zambezi River where Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia converge. Located 70 kilometers west of Victoria Falls, access is by transfer from Victoria Falls, Livingstone or Kasane.

The 5,000 Acre (2,023 Ha) private concession has 14 kilometers of private Zambezi river frontage and borders the Chobe Forest Reserve, which is renowned for its huge elephant population.

Imbabala was officially opened in 1988 and has been entirely refurbished over the years, but remains an unpretentious safari camp offering a true African safari experience.

The main lodge is a rustic thatched building consisting of a lounge, dining room and bar area. The main lodge offers outdoor eating by the swimming pool nestled under spectacular local flora and fauna.

Imbabala offers beautiful views of both the river and a nearby waterhole, which attracts various animals all year round. There are no fences so animal movement can be expected around the main lodge as well as incredible birdlife.

Imbabala offers a spectacular safari camp ideal for anyone or a family vacation where you can unwind while watching the birds and game animals in the region.

Cuisine

Imbabala Safari Lodge offers healthy delicious food prepared by professional chefs.  Meals are enjoyed under the ancient trees surrounding the main lodge next to the inviting swimming pools, where the animals roam freely.

From traditional African-style meals under the stars to bush dinners on the banks of the Zambezi as well as scrumptious high tea, all meals are exceptionally prepared by dedicated chefs.

Menus incorporate crisp seasonal foods, with most of the salad ingredients, vegetables and fragrant herbs grown organically in the organic garden on the property.  The nurtured gardens soil is rich in nutrients which is free from chemicals and pesticides.  These fresh ingredients make for appetizing and health meals.
